Jeffrey Haddorff is a ceramicist working in Northeast Minneapolis. His pieces are lively variations on traditional forms, largely platters and vases. Jeffrey’s work has been on display lately in Chicago, Montana and Seattle, so we’re glad to have some of it back in town for this show.
Jeffrey’s large platters display inventive use of color and contrast, texture and shape. The balance created (or disrupted) by each piece’s positive and negative space, and juxtaposition of pattern and/or color, lends new interest to a familiar object.
